More than 150 senior citizens from the municipality of Canóvanas enjoyed a day of learning, health, and fun. At an event organized by the Triple-S Foundation, they had access to health clinics, adapted games, and recreational activities.

Vieques Certified as Dementia Friends
Vieques Municipality Certified as a Dementia Friends! In just three days, the island of Vieques became the seventh dementia-friendly municipality in Puerto Rico. With this achievement, Vieques certified 582 people and positioned itself as an example of preparedness, sensitivity, and community leadership in the face of one of the most pressing challenges of Puerto Rico’s aging population. We extend our gratitude to Mayor José “Junito” Corsino, Pastor Iris Sanes and her team, Albizu University, Mi Gente Grande, and the group of volunteers who, along with the Triple-S Foundation, joined forces to successfully complete this Dementia Friends initiative.
Regala Un Día: United Way
We joined the United Way’s “Give a Day” initiative by visiting the Inés Center in San Juan, where our volunteers helped clean and organize a storage area. We also brought donations as a demonstration of our commitment to spaces that provide support and guidance to the community.
Support for Community Programs for Access to Healthy Food
The Triple-S Foundation announced a contribution of $200,000 to support 8 community programs that promote access to healthy food for elderly individuals living alone and university students.
Presentation of 21 scholarships to students and healthcare professionals
Triple-S Foundation and the Foundation for the Future of Health presented 21 scholarships to students and professionals in the field of health, including medical residents in various specialties, advanced nursing, and pharmacy technicians. This event is the result of a collaborative effort between both organizations in response to the alarming shortage of doctors and the growing demand for professionals in the healthcare system. Thanks to this program, critical areas of specialization such as pediatrics, neurosurgery, and orthopedics will be expanded to promote training, retention of professionals, and stability of the Puerto Rican healthcare system.
Triple-S Foundation present at the Agenda 360 for the Elderly!
During this summit organized by the Senate of Puerto Rico, with the support of AARP, our Executive Director of the Triple-S Foundation, Lydia Figueroa, participated as a speaker on the Social Connection panel. This forum served as a platform to address the needs of the population 65 years or older – a group that already represents 1 in 4 people in Puerto Rico.

CAP Foundation Sponsorship 2025
We joined once again the CAP Inc. Foundation in its fight against pediatric cancer. Thanks to the support of our employees, who participated with donations and in the solidarity action of shaving and donating hair, we were able to deliver a donation of $25,000. At Triple-S, we are always proud to contribute to this important cause.
Exceptional Student Scholarship Fund
Sagrado Corazón University and its Exceptional Student Scholarship Fund program have impacted over 830 students in various careers such as nursing, biomedical sciences, communications, and business administration. This program was established in 1995 and has since been sponsored by the Triple-S Trust.
First School in Puerto Rico Earns Dementia Friends Status
The Segunda Unidad David Antonbgiorgi Córdova School in Sabana Grande makes history by becoming the first educational institution to certify all its students and teachers as Dementia Friends. This is a significant milestone and a model for other schools in the country, as it achieves an inclusive and conscious approach to the needs of people with dementia in students from kindergarten to eighth grade.
