“Joining heads” CAP Foundation
At Triple-S, we are proud to join forces to support entities like the CAP Foundation in their fight against pediatric cancer. This year, in addition to the support of employee donations, we have the initiative of Brenda Colon from the Triple-S Marketing & Communications team, who, as a volunteer CAPtain and with great passion, led a personal campaign that raised $19,000. We appreciate the solidarity and participation of employees on stage in shaving their heads and donating hair. We achieved a total donation of $45,000!
Triple-S Foundation links students from the University of Arizona with the Fondita De Jesús
Through the Triple-S Foundation, the students had an experience at the Fondita De Jesús about social determinants that affect health. With this opportunity, they were able to do volunteer work and learn first-hand about an effective local intervention model that offers services to people in great need on the island and that they can replicate in other spaces.
5k: The Voices of Rhaiza: Run Walk for Them
A group of employees who came together with Las Voces de Rhaiza to raise awareness about cervical cancer and preventive tests to detect it early in support of people who have been affected by human papillomavirus. Triple-S participated with the traditional weight clinic to offer this service to the more than 800 participants.
Visit of the Surgeon General of the United States
The Triple-S Foundation has focused since 2022 on directing efforts to combat social isolation and loneliness. For this reason, we invited Dr. Vivek H. Murthy, who participated in this important event, to discuss the relationship between social isolation, loneliness and general health in Puerto Rico.
Triple-S Foundation as headquarters of the Ibero-American Alzheimer Assembly in Puerto Rico
The international organizations Alzheimer’s Disease Association and Alzheimer’s Ibero-America (with representation from 18 countries) met in our facilities with the objective of promoting a concerted effort worldwide to confront Alzheimer’s and promote countries to develop their national plans.
Toa Baja is certified as the second Dementia Friends municipality in Puerto Rico
Triple-S Foundation certifies people to become Dementia Friends. This program provides educational material about Alzheimer’s and tools for caregivers. Toa Baja is the second municipality certified in the program. Congratulations!
A Christmas gift to combat isolation and loneliness
Fundación Triple-S held an exclusive event for non-profit organizations where they received a “Tool Kit” with educational materials to impact social isolation and loneliness in the comunities. Also, they took a workshop with Contáctica on how to use of digital tools.
Triple-S Foundation delivers $125,000 to organizations
Fundación Triple-S delivers $125,000 to the following organizations: Diabetes Association, Comedor de la Kennedy, Puerto Rican Kidney Foundation, P.E.C.E.S and Food Bank. These organizations address the food security of vulnerable people due to their living and health conditions.
