A group of bedridden patients in the Western side of the Island had the protection and peace of mind that comes with being vaccinated against COVID-19. Thanks to the initiative “I Was Vaccinated at Home” of the Triple-S Medical Group team and its Primary Care Physicians, the single-dose vaccine was provided to more than 120 affiliates patients and their caregivers. We acknowledge the participation of Dr. Rafael Machín, SALUS and Integrity Medical Group teams who also supported this project.

MDA Virtual Summer Festival
The children of the Muscular Dystrophy Association received a lot of fun and joy during their virtual summer festival. Thanks to our sponsorship, the children received the materials for the activity and the visit of Bompie with his fun games. Once again Triple-S supports the MDA for the well-being and quality of life of its patients.
San Patricio Urban Forest is Rehabilitated
A collaborative effort between United Ways, Department of Natural Resources and Triple-S Foundation will bring a new life to Bosque Urbano San Patricio. This project consists of rehabilitating an urban lung forest, environmental protection, promote food access and social connectedness. Triple-S has made a $25,000 commitment to increase food security awareness and education through the plant nursery initiative and collaborative alliances with nonprofit organizations. This agreement is an excellent opportunity to reduce elderly social isolation and promote health and community well-being.
Virtual 5K: Run or Walk for Them
Once again Triple-S showed its commitment for a cancer-free health by participating in the Virtual 5K: “Run or Walk for Them” of Las Voces de Rhaiza, an organization that supports and fights against cervical cancer. This event, held from February 28 to March 7, 2021, sought to complete the 5K race during that period to promote cervical cancer awareness. Thanks to our employees support, we made a difference!
Foundation Triple-S connects hospitalized patients with their family through Robbie
Thanks to technology, Robbie, a robot on wheels that conducts video conferencing, safely connected patients with their loved ones during the Christmas Holidays. Foundation Triple-S launched this initiative to help alleviate the isolation and loneliness of patients in various hospitals and non-profit organizations by connecting them with their families in love-filled calls.
P.E.C.E.S., a Strong Force in the Eastern Region
PECES played a prominent role in Humacao and much of the eastern region of the island in developing reconstruction initiatives and channeling funds after Hurricane María. But that leading role is the result of three decades of developing community leaders, especially among the younger population. At Triple-S Foundation, we want to support them as they continue expanding and building a more resilient Community Sustainability Center, as well as contribute to their efforts towards promoting food security among the older population.
