Triple-S Foundation: Hand in Hand with the Communities

In an emotional virtual conference, Triple-S Foundation presented several organizations that worked hand in hand on two social determinants: food security and emotional well-being in the communities.  Employees had the opportunity to connect and learn about Banco de Alimentos, P.E.C.E.S., World Central Kitchen, El Comedor de la Kennedy and APIADI’s work. In addition, they have learned how to collaborate through the volunteer and donation program to support the mission of Fundación Triple-S.

Pure Action the 24th Edition Triple-S Golf Tournament

Thanks to the sponsors and players who make this event possible, more than $ 90,000 in donations were raised. These collections will benefit the following organizations: Muscular Dystrophy Association, CAP Foundation and Triple-S Foundation. This event contributed for these entities to continue their work of service for a better Puerto Rico.

Sebastian: My Endless Race

One more accomplishment for Sebastián at My Endless Race! Triple-S invited Sebastián Rosado to walk through the San Patricio Urban Forest, a young man with cerebral palsy whose challenge is to walk through the towns of Puerto Rico to test the facilities and access for people with functional diversity, in addition to enjoy our beautiful island.  This effort was possible thanks to the fact that the forest spaces are suitable to receive all kind of people and to the commitment of Fundación Triple-S to promote physical and emotional health in the communities.  The Department of Natural Resources and Fondos Unidos de Puerto Rico provided their support to make this beautiful mission possible.

Triple-S Launched the Dementia Friends Initiative

Triple-S launches the Dementia Friends initiative in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and the Department of Health. This initiative consists in workshops about Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias to train individuals, families, groups, doctors, businesses and the community. Upon completion of the workshops, participants receive a certification that distinguishes them as a person who can help to improve the patient’s quality of life,a greater independence and to live longer. This project will help Puerto Rico to become a more inclusive society.

Exceptional students from the University of Sacred Heart receive their scholarships

Triple-S received with great enthusiasm the students Joshua Álvarez, Omarys Santiago, Patricia Gómez and Paola Nevárez from the University of Sacred Heart, deserving of the Exceptional Student Fund Scholarship awarded by the Triple-S Endowment Fund. During their visit, they had the opportunity to learn about the Internship Program and the Marketing and Communications company’s role. These students maintain an average of 3.8 to 4.0, are entrepreneurial leaders and belong to the study programs of Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism and Biology.

Go Red for Your Heart

At Triple-S we joined the American Heart Association’s campaign Go Red for women, Go Red for your heart. Through a virtual event with Dr. Jose Novoa (Triple-S Chief Medical Officer and Cardiologist with more than 20 years of experience), our employees also wearing red shirts, received a conference to create awareness of women’s heart health and promote a healthy lifestyle.

CAP Foundation: Pásate La Máquina Challenge

For more than 10 years, Triple-S has supported the CAP Foundation and this year was no exception. Thanks to the commitment of our employees who, through different fundraising ideas, were able to collect $25,000, thus reaffirming the commitment and solidarity with the cancer patients of the Pediatric Hospital at Centro Médico.

Triple-S Fulfills Michael José’s Dream

Thanks to our donation to Make a Wish of Puerto Rico, Michael José a 16-year-old boy fulfilled his wishes of having a virtual shopping day to purchase a bed, a bicycle, and other items on his list. At Triple-S we remain committed to the recovery and wellbeing of our Island children’s health.

SALUS Supports Vaccination Against COVID-19

The SALUS Nursing team contributed to a healthier Puerto Rico through a vaccination clinic against COVID-19. With this initiative, they visited Religiosas del Sagrado Corazón Home in Santurce to administer the vaccine to the sisters of this community, who were very grateful to receive this health gift.
