With the efforts of Triple-S employees, its Gente Valiosa, and its CAPitanes, $22,000 was raised to help improve treatment facilities and equipment for children with cancer at the Pediatric Hospital. The support, generosity, and solidarity that employees show year after year in this movement to CAP Foundation is commendable.

Pink Warrior
Triple-S dresses in pink to host the Pink Warrior event. In its genuine commitment to the fight against cancer, Triple-S works hand-in-hand with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention of breast cancer and thus help save more lives.
Social isolation and loneliness in young people
The Triple-S Foundation is subsidizing the inclusion of a module on social isolation and loneliness in the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) survey carried out annually by the Department of Health (DS) and the Youth Consultation survey, conducted by the Universidad Central del Caribe to measure risk behaviors on this issue in the country’s youth.
Volunteer with Gente Valiosa
The Triple-S Di Presente volunteer program left its mark as Gente Valiosa by collaborating with the organization’s Banco de Alimentos de Puerto Rico, La Fondita de Jesús, Esperanza para la Vejez, las Voces de Rhaiza, Bosque San Patricio and Cabecitas Rapadas to combat loneliness, food insecurity, and support equity in health and emotional well-being.
Grana 5k
Triple-S employees ran the 5k of Grana without pants to benefit the American Society Against Cancer. Their participation represented the voices to support this cause to raise awareness about prostate and testicular cancer.
Voces de Rhaiza
Triple-S echoed Las Voces de Rhaiza Vélez Plumey in the 5k “Run or Walk for Them” for a Puerto Rico free of cervical cancer. Health educators participated in the Triple-S health clinic to give talks on the importance of prevention and medical tests related to cervical cancer, blood pressure, and weight control. The event had the support of employees during the race and yoga classes to raise awareness in the fight against cancer.
First Municipality certified as Dementia Friends – Loíza
Loíza achieves to be the first municipality certified as Dementia Friends in Puerto Rico! After a year and in a festive atmosphere, Loíza celebrated becoming the first municipality to train over 1,000 people including public servants, community and religious leaders, merchants, caregivers, and family members with dementia. Also, they began the train trainers’ model of the program to continue making communities dementia friendly.
We’re back for the 10K Run at Teodoro Moscoso crossing bridge!
More than 50 Triple-S employees got up early with their tennis shoes on to take this tour in benefit of the Pediatric Hospital Foundation. This organization helps with the purchase of medical equipment, improves the infrastructure, and offers important services to the hospital.
Activated in the Fit2Be Cancer Free Challenge
Our CEO, Bobby García, toured various buildings and offices of Triple-S and Salus, along with a group of colleagues. This year Bobby carried a prevention message to reduce the risk of cancer with a healthy lifestyle that includes physical activity. This activity involves the participation of employees in a challenge to accumulate the most steps in 21 days and is it in benefit of the American Society Against Cancer.
